Expressing what Is
Being part of the Change
Experiential Therapy and Education for personal change processes,
spiritual crisis, couple relationships, and professional transitions,
from a humanistic, somatic, and transpersonal perspective.
Hello, I am Raúl Ruiz Sola: therapist, trainer, artist and, fortunately, much more than that. I have been part of this mystery called living since 1988, and for as long as I can remember, I believe I have been asking myself the same thing you probably do: how do I manage to be happy?
Discomfort and curiosity have pushed me to investigate this question, and after years of searching, I feel I have found something relevant: it is not about looking for something to complete us, but about (re)recognizing what we already Are, what already Is—that which, at least I, constantly forget. I believe, therefore, that suffering is not so original, as the main source of our malaise is common to us all: being separated from what is natural to us, confused about our identity, lacking secure bonds, and alienated from the activities that offer us a sense of purpose.
We already know that the theory is easy; living it is another matter. And that is why I accompany people, because by facilitating another person’s process of rediscovering themselves, reordering their bonds and their way of being in the world, I remember what I Am, where I belong, and what my purpose is; and it seems that when I remember it, the other person does too, curiously enough.
While I feel this is the beginning of the journey, there are many paths I have traveled before. I started with art, which from childhood to the present day has accompanied me with songs, poems, and stories that have allowed me to dialogue with my pain and find truth and beauty. I studied economics, history, and sociology to understand this world with the intention of changing it. And throughout those years, I began working with people in the social field, receiving therapy, and meditating, which made me realize that change began within; as I healed, I could be more useful to my environment. Then I decided to study Gestalt Therapy, Buddhist psychology, and deepen my meditative practice. My spiritual process has led me back to the body, and I have trained in Authentic Movement and Somatic Experiencing.
This is my personal story, in short, and if you believe it can help you better understand and transform your own, I am here to accompany you, in person or virtually, to perhaps begin to know what we truly Are.
With love,
Raúl
